I’m loving these catch ups with weddings past. I rarely shoot friends weddings so you need to be a special person for me to say know. When Marlene asked me to shoot her wedding to Noel I was thrilled. Marlene has been a friend for many years and also my partner in crime from Maltese Downunder on Channel 31.
These are her favourites from an extremely hot 40+ degrees summer day in St Kilda.
“I love this capture with my youngest son who was my ‘mate of honour’… a special moment between mother and son, before all the mayhem of the wedding. A treasured moment.”
“Mark managed to capture the love and fun in a challenging afternoon, battling the elements: extreme heat, gusty winds and swirling sands… definitely no time to pose for any spectacular shots! But nothing could dampen our special day and I suppose, our day reflected us…. a whirlwind”
I like to make the experience a fun one and very much view the day as a collaboration between us so that the images we create will form part of each family’s collective memory, passed down to generations and may be used in the future to form a slideshow more..
